Star Indian Cuisine opened in Omaha in 2021 with a simple idea: serve vibrant, authentic Indian cooking in a space where everyone feels welcome. Rakesh Sahu and Sipra Sahoo built something the neighborhood didn't know it was missing.
A space transformed on South 132nd
Rakesh and Sipra took a former restaurant space and remade it into a warm, colorful dining room — a real destination for Indian cooking in west Omaha.
A menu with real range
The menu travels across India — from crispy Vegetable Pakoras and slow-cooked Goat Curry to Kalonji Ka Baigain and boldly spiced Schezwan Chicken, with vegan-friendly options throughout.
Straight from the tandoor
The tandoor oven anchors the kitchen. The chili garlic naan — stuffed with a thin layer of mashed potato — is the detail that keeps guests talking long after the meal.
